To prepare for construction, a lot of time and effort has been put into emptying the existing center. Susan Turley has led the effort and we want to thank her and all those volunteers who have come out and moved the items.
The really heavy objects still need to be moved including tables, statues and kitchen equipment. Keep an eye out for more muscle requests!
The church-stained glass windows facing the center have been removed. This had to happen because the windows have been in a precarious state and we did not want any window breakage with the center demolition. This is a good sign that we are that much closer to starting work on the center.
As planned, bids went out in March. Four building contractor companies responded and took a walk around the center building and grounds. We will provide the parish with an update on the parish center proposals sometime after Holy Week. Have a happy and prayerful Easter.
